P8,500.00 fee - Parent of an HRM Student Complaint

This morning thursday, July 16, 2009, I've heard a school parent complaint aired in a our local radio station here in cebu. The complaint is about the P8,500.00 fee requirement for an overnight cooking demo in "Plantation Bay Resort". The parent added that this will screw up their budget as the school exam nearly comming which they'll have to pay the tuition fee.

Here's the breakdown:
P5,000.00 for accomodation (don't know if one room per student)
P 500.00 for bus round trip (School(Cebu City)-Plantation(Mactan) and vice versa)
P1,500.00 crocs shoes(why crocs?)
P1,000.00 uniform
